Olive Tree Foundation Awards Scholarships for 2022

The Olive Tree Foundation proudly recognizes two outstanding high school students from Regent Park for their academic excellence and leadership.

Kewthar A. was awarded the Faisal Ali Scholarship Award and Marwa Rasoli was awarded the Mohamed and Opheera Nasir Scholarship Award.

Both students are active volunteers in Regent Park.

Marwa Rasoli, a Jarvis Collegiate Institute student, will be attending George Brown College in the Fall.

“When parents, teachers and role models support students it helps them a lot. Having a good support system will not only motivate the student to do better in school but it will also help with their confidence in themselves,” says Marwa Rasoli.

Kewthar A., also a Jarvis Collegiate Institute student, will be attending Wilfrid Laurier University in the Fall.

“Parents, teachers and mentors help to enrich a student along their journey to find their place in this society. Without this important support, the path of a student would be difficult,” adds Kewthar A.

The Olive Tree Foundation congratulates both scholarship recipients and wishes them continued success in their future studies and community contributions.
